This is an amazing bass… that yields thick, and clear notes from low “B” throughout the upper registers. Very ’60’s J in sound, response, playability, and vibe. The notes are solid, and resonant… “alive”. They respond excellently with medium tension, and the feel of the upper register is supple, and “meaty.” The bottom register is sure, and true with immediate attack that is balanced, and even.
Slapped, this instrument yields a thick, and excellent sized body of the note which has perfect tonal balance… without midrange “honk”, or harshness, but with plenty of “cohesiveness”. No “roller coaster” frequency response here. Just a solid, articulate, and “traditional” voiced body of the note.
